I tried the Windows 7 RC with my ASRock ConRoe1333-D667 R3.0 main board a while back & hibernate was very iffy at best.

Crack Am Gangsters 2 Cheats there. However I wonder if such hardware incompatibility's have now been ironed out. I don't want to shell out on W7 Ultimate, also upgrading the onboard graphics in the process to be stuck with a broken machine.

I always use hibernate as it is quicker to boot to a usable desktop. ASRock appears to not have a user forum, but the MB does have Vista drivers & I hear these often work for Win 7? I installed Win 7 RC but never checked device manager for drivers at the time. What would you do? I currently use XP as my main OS which has another five years of life yet. They said that Win 7 cannot be officially supported on this board but 'If hibernate is working under XP, then I also expect it can work under Windows 7.

It might be related to drivers that hibernate was not working when you last tested it.' Then: 'I expect the INF drivers are already integrated in Windows 7. If not, then you can try.After installing INF driver please restart the system.'

Then they list download links for all the drivers. Thing is I deleted my Win7 RC key so cannot go back & test, though I do have the RC DVD.

Anyone kindly PM me their spare key? Would the RC still work? Edited by fleamour, 07 January 2010 - 11:23 AM. Yeah, it will be usable until D-day gets here (March 1 - bihourly shutdowns start, June 1 - it will not boot). I trashed my RC disk after I got my RTM version from my university.

And if I lose my RTM disk, I can always download it again (in case I do a reinstall, which may be in the near future). I didn't see a reason to keep the RC disk when I wasn't going to use it. As for the hibernation, I've only found one time to use it. I had a crap-load of programs open (documents and such) that I didn't want to close, and I wasn't going to use it for a few days. Instead of shutting down and having to find all those documents again, or putting it to sleep for 2-3 days (not a good idea), I just let it hibernate.

The only other time I've used hibernate was when my faulty chipset driver was making my laptop crash after putting it to sleep. After putting it to sleep, I would later open it up to find it turned off, and saying upon boot: 'Windows was not shut down properly.' After finding out the driver was the issue, updating it fixed my problems. Sleeps fine now. Never had issues with hibernate, though.but like I said, I haven't used it all that much.
