The Last Story Wii Iso Undubbing. This post will hopefully guide people wishing to install their own aftermarket headunit into their 147, GT or 156. The main considerations when installing a new headunit are: 1. Ensuring the powerwires are matched correctly 2.

Catering for Bose amplifier where applicable 3. Catering for steering wheel controls where applicable 4. Fitting a dashkit fascia which surrounds the new headunit to match the shape of the dash: these ensure a cosmetically ‘nice’ fitment; only the series 1 (pre-update) 156 does not require a fascia I will not explain here, the physical removal of the original headunit and fitment of the new.

This is generally straight forward, and explained in many other posts. Lectra System Modaris V6 Software Update. IMPORTANT: I suggest you have at least a basic knowledge of autoelectrics and how to connect wires safely and reliably, before undertaking installation of a headunit. A MULTIMETER is an essential tool for confirming function of wires, and highly recommended to be used. I take no responsibility for incorrect wiring that subsequently leads to damage to either your headunit or car.

Please proceed carefully. ALFA WIRING This is the main bugbear with our cars. Despite having standardised ‘ISO’ plugs, the wiring pattern does not conform with the ISO standard! There a 2 main ISO plugs (A power and B speakerwire), though joined together into a single big one, coloured black. These can be separate, and different colours in earlier Alfa’s. There are also 3 smaller ‘mini-ISO’ plugs (C), coloured YELLOW, GREEN, and BLUE.

They are interlocked. Twin Usb Vibration Gamepad. The plugs look like this: Each wire/terminal is given a standardised/ISO label. The letter (A,B,C,etc) refers to the plug/block that the wire is fitted; the number refers to the position within that plug. This schematic shows the labelling of wires in an Alfa headunit.

Having driven it now for a couple of days I am now sure that the Sat Nav is vastly improved. On v8.1 I thought that it was a bit useless in terms of a navigation aid and that it would only really be of use if you got completely lost and needed to find out where you were. Positioning was vague, innacurate and 'laggy' - 'at the roundabout take the second exit' 1/2 a mile after said roundabout!! Also the used to flash on and off and screen/route updates took ages. On v9.8 it is really accurate, directions are given before the junction and if you deviate from the route it recalculates really quickly.

The is now smooth and just scrolls along as I hurtle down the road. Definitely worth the effort of upgrading (not that much effort was involved ) M. I had no problems, using a normal 20p cd. Although i noticed that it didnt want to do anything with the key turned round to MAR, i turned it on and back to off (to get the cd player working) and it worked fine.

Upgrade took about a minute or so before the screen came up with 9.8 in the corner. Chucked in the setup cd, clicked setup, language, scrolled down to english, selected, took another minute or so, got a confirmation message. Turned it off and on and hey presto it was fine, in english and version 9.8. I promised to inform you about final result of changing version on my navigation unit: Originally, I had version something about 8.6.

I tried to change to 9.8, but memory was flushed, and CD stacked. Electronic expert programmed EPROM again, I got version 6.4T1. He says it's the best version with minimum bugs. After that I changed language to English by original setup disk (borrowed from dealer). Everything is working, but.

- My position compared with Google is wrong, it was perfect before. Satellite signal is full with 7 satellites. - Everything is very slow, specially booting.

- Phone is working very good. - Voice commands are very irritating (Lady is frustrated, don't know why.) - MP3 playing seems to stack temporary, only for a while. - If you are wrong with voice commands, you don't know where you are any more. I'm not experienced with that, I started changing version because of Italian voice commands.
